Sandhill Crane's in the street

Never seen one hit by a car yet, that is a 55 MPH road out front of my house and of course no one abides by that. Had to rush around and grab my camera, walk out to my front yard. They seen me coming. Not the best shots, very rushed. I did learn that I at this stage in my development, I would never make it as a news photographer. Man, I was fumbling around trying to get these off, oh the pressure. D3300 was set in studio mode.

I have yet to see a Sandhill this year. The park where I normally catch them has been under construction this year so I think they were scared away.

Thanks...Locate the construction spot on your maps GPS or Google maps and view in satellite mode. Zoom in a little and look for areas of water away from construction zone. More than likely they will be there. If golf course is nearby, more than likely they will be there as well.
