SB-600 CLS Question

I don't think you can and that's why they call it manual mode.

It's easily done. Unfortunately I have to revert to the old adage....... RTFM. This includes the camera and flash manuals.

Are the camera and the speedlight set to the same channel and you have the group set on the SB-600 to match the group letter that is set to manual mode in the camera's Commander mode?

It's my friends speedlite, and he bought it second hand with no manual.

Thanks once again, Keith. Didn't even think to search for a manual online. :blushing:

You just go into the flash options (on my d90 it's like e3 or e4 or something) and choose the power levels there for your on-camera and wireless. should come up automatically if it's set to commander mode

also, when you place the SB600 into a CLS slave, w/e you master is you have an option of controlling SB600 in TTL or Manual (from the commander).

I have no idea how you guys figured it out without the manual. The lcd screen's icons/buttons are cryptic in some ways. Anyways, I'm glad that you did!
