Scaling Issues:

Hi all,

I'm trying to take a series of product photographs from various angles. Having set up a basic rig with the product in the middle and the camera a set distance away on a tripod and then taken a photo, I noticed that upon rotating the product to take an image of it's profile that the image appears bigger than in the front shot. The camera and the product are the same distance apart throughout the whole process. The camera I am using is a Nikon Coolpix 2200 and offers no manual controls so I can't lock the focus or exposure. Any ideas on how I can stop this random scaling or what might be causing it?

Maybe it's an optical illusion because the product is not square in it's dimensions.
