Scanning / Orientation Woes

Hi,

I have scanned some photos recently & I have noted the following display problem on which I need some help
- I scanned old photos with Canon MP145.
- I cropped & made digital corrections. I used Bridge/Photoshop CS4 for this.
- I use Picassa 3 to showcase the photos to family.
- BUT SURPRISE SURPRISE what shows correctly in Bridge shows the photos in an disoriented manner. I then have to rotate them in Picassa to orient correctly before the slideshow. Needless to say the orientation goes haywire in Bridge.

Any indication what is wrong here. And what I can do to correct it/reduce the extra effort needed.
