Thank you! I went to Rickett's Glen where you were ice climbing last winter I saw license plates from Tennessee, Maryland, Massachusetts. As you know, it is busy there this time of year.

Nice! I really like that trail and park! I haven't been enough to know the best times to hike, but when the wife and I did it a couple years ago, we got there for around 8 AM. While there were still a fair amount of people on the trail, we did have stretches where we didn't see a single person. As we got about halfway through, it started to get pretty busy. When we finished, the parking lot was nearly full.

Nice! I really like that trail and park! I haven't been enough to know the best times to hike, but when the wife and I did it a couple years ago, we got there for around 8 AM. While there were still a fair amount of people on the trail, we did have stretches where we didn't see a single person. As we got about halfway through, it started to get pretty busy. When we finished, the parking lot was nearly full.

I waited until around noon. That seems to be the best time for sunlight to make it's way into the gorge. I didn't have time to hike the main trail, so only went to the one that is at the foot of the elevation near Red Rock Corners and Rickett's Glen Hotel. There were a group of teen boys and a female adult that was jumping from the rocks into one of the pools at that location, so I went up to the part of the park called The Hayfields and took these macros.
