Went outside my office just as a storm front moved through, and saw the red/salmon light... Looked up, and there it was - a gorgeous full double rainbow with supernary arcs inside the main one. Got lucky - it faded completely from view within 10 minutes. The colour is very reddish as the sun was beginning to set, and the clouds were covering everything except for a slit at the horizon. So call these snapshots, and CC if you wish - but this really was just a quick grab.

Looks like I wasn't the only one who noticed. Our local news channel has a few... IN PHOTOS: A rainbow over Montreal | CTV Montreal News

The other interesting thing was that in this one I could see a third set of bows inside the main one. These are the supernumary bows described in the following article: Rainbow - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
These can be seen in the full-resolution image without difficulty, but they kinda get smooshed when downsampling to 1200x900.

And Mishele.... did you know that your latest avatar is of Michelle Jenneke's Barcelona 2012 warmup prior to the 100m hurdles? Very... um... eye-catching. Must have worked, as she came in first.

I like the first one best - very nice. Too bad about all the red which lessens the 'rainbow' effect but you can't have everything.
