Aye Mates,
The upcoming season for migratory waterfowl is just a few days out. I did some scouting this morning to check on a leased property I share with 3 other gunning Mates. There were a large number of birds using the fields as a feeding and resting stop. I saw very few banded birds and it seems that there are a good number of early migrants mixing in with resident geese.
I am hopeful of getting out for a honker hunt early next week.
Head's Up Honkers
Autumn Splendor Canada's
Hunkered Down
The Lads ~ My gun dog's MAC and TRAD are honed razor sharp from our diligent training all year and long for their return to the fields and waters to hunt with me for wild birds. Both of these fine retrievers will be worked on hunts for waterfowl and upland birds throughout the upcoming season.
Cheers,
The Dog Whistler
