SD card question

I have a sd card for my Canon T1i, it is an 8 gb PNY optima sdhc. I am having problems when I try and upload them, I use Photoshop Elements organizer to get the pictures it freezes at some pictures. When I try to view them through windows organizer the preview doesn't show up and the photo will not open at all. Is it the card? Is it the camera, the software?

I was thinking that but when I review on the camera it says image not available...

If it cant be seen on camera, then it would have to be a corrupt file... memory card.

Any suggestions on a new one? I'm really tired of loosing up to 10 pictures every time I use my camera...

Have you formatted the memory card in the camera? Formatting it on the computer is not good enough.

The other thing is that the camera may not be compatable with the SD card. I use a class 4 PNY in my Nikon without any problems but PNY is not a brand that Nikon recommended in the manual.
