SD card troubles.

I was uploading photos from my SD carc to my computer and when i finished i dragged the photos from the card into the trash. I ejected the card and returned it into my camera. When i looked at the number of available photos though, the number was about 200 less than the usual amount. (i had uploaded about 200 photos) So i checked to see if the photos were infact still on the card but they wern't. It's as if the photos are still taking up space on the card even though they aren't on it.. Please help!! Thanks!

Since the question has been answered, perhaps the thread can be locked so we don't get a bunch of card-recovery software spammers posting? :er:
