SD to Compact Flash adapter

has anyone used one of these?

i just want to know if it would be worth it to purchase one since they are so cheap compared to an actual CF card

16gb CF [60mb/s] = ~$300
SD to CF + 16gb SD [30mb/s] = ~$200

i would save ~100 bucks, but lose some performance

i know getting the CF card is ideal but if i can save a few bucks would be nice too. unless the performance would be an issue?

I have, but only when I am shooting wireless tethered. What kind of performance do you need the 60 MB/s? BTW, any 60MB/s 16GB CF card in Canada is under $200. Where are you located?

Lots of choices in your price range without something in between to possibly fail, or loose at the most inopportune time.

i am just really getting into this my family pulled together and bought me a canon 7d as an early christmas present and they didn't buy me any memory cards.

and my info came from just a quick glance @ best buy and i know they are overpriced but was just a general reference.

honestly best buy has really nothing good ever for high speed cards on sale.. i should know i work there. I just go on Amazon or new egg.
