Had some fun yesterday in the garden. I was pulling weeds when one of the regular walkers came by and stopped suddenly at the end of the garden. She looked up at me and said, "It's a climate change freak! That's got to be a sure sign of climate change." She was pointing at an iris I have planted near the sidewalk at the corner of the garden, and yes it was blooming in mid September. I assured her it was not a climate change freak but a reblooming iris doing what it's supposed to do. However I did also confirm for her that we long-time gardeners were aware of multiple signs confirming climate change -- I pointed over at the cannas and told her we no longer needed to dig them out in the Fall. Here's the iris: Oly Pen E-PL9 w/14-42mm
