Secret Santa - Christmas - 2014

Since the Secret Santa season is winding down, I thought I'd find out what you all think about it.

If you have suggestions as to how it would run better, please append them.

Do you like having a Secret Santa and being one to someone else?
Was this a burden in any way?
Is there a better way to proceed?

If you were involved, will you be involved again?
If you weren't, do you intend to be part of it next year?

Are there any guidelines or suggestions we might include for the giving?

If I am still here next year - (kicked out, left in a huff, dead, Buddhist monk), my plan is this:

I hope that everyone who views this thread actually votes so I can get a sense of the crowd.
There were lots of people who were active on the site and yet didn't participate and I wonder why and want to remove any obstacles.

Some simply didn't see it, or saw it too late. Not everyone ventures down here into the OT dungeon.

And I, for one, was a little hesitant at first because I didn't understand how it was going to work.

I thought it was a good idea. For me it was simple and worked well. If you improve it great, but sometimes simple just works

...i didn't participate,nor do i believe i will.So i voted "nope,not for me"and
"It worked fine the way it was "
i'm simply someone who chooses to observe,but it seemed to be enjoyable for all that participated.I think it was a good thing!

I joined right after or about the time the Santas were being assigned so I didn't get in on it this year. I will hopefully be much more confident in my skills this year and plan on participating.

I didn't participate because of a couple of reasons, one being that I don't think my pictures are good enough. But I did enjoy reading the threads and seeing the images everyone received. There were some amazing pictures.

Voted. I didn't SEE the Secret Santa thing until it was too late, otherwise I would love to do something like this. Though I feel bad for whoever gets my photo :lol:

Sparky said it, I don't necessarily scroll alllll the way down to the bottom! If I do look at the OT section it's often a quick glance.

It's not like it's all that time consuming but struck me as just one more thing to get done this time of year... This year especially seemed rather rushed getting last minute things done, next year who knows.
