So, I feel like a total idiot but the manual doesn't really explain my question.

when I take a reading, sometimes displayed immediately next to the aperture is an additional number between 0-5 usually.

The only thing the manual has on it is in a couple diagrams it says "1/10th f-stop"

Could someone please explain this and how it translates to how I should be adjusting the exposure on my camera.

My old L-308 doesn't have this, so I'm kind of confused.

Other than that, this thing rock. Plus I got a hella good deal that was too good to pass up. Got it from a photography student drop out brand new sealed box, receipts and all for $375

Are you metering in combined metering mode?
If so it is probably the Exposure count, that is the only thing I can think of....

It happens regardless of mode, and the number isn't consecutive nor is it always there. The number will also change or disappear when you scroll they different shutter/aperture combinations for that given reading.
