So basically, when I get bored at night I take pictures of myself and this is what comes out. Backdrop was just a white wall in my house, 430ex bounced off the ceiling.

Nice picture, Only there is the shadow on your left (on our right). Maybe stepping little more far from the wall, coul kick that.

Ah, yeah I didn't think about stepping farther away, I'll try that next time I decide to shoot.

Double post, figured I'd add this picture that I just took today. I picked up a cheap wireless flash set up today (60 bucks) and used flash off camera for this shot.

That last one you posted, the shadow is really distracting. You could try brightening yourself up a bit. Or move your flash closer in front of you.
