hey i dunno what forum to post this im, but if a mod moves it please PM me so i can know where to find it! umm when i use the self timer on my d80 it doesnt focus, how can i change this?! im using manual mode btw.

is autofocus turned on, on the lens or on the lens

its on on the camera itsself, my 50mm 1.8 doesnt have it on the lens itsself.

if your lense doesnt have it.. it wont auto focus. you must find a point to which you will be standing.. or use a test subject/object and focus it on that 1st.. then, set your timer and prss the shutter. run like hell, pose, and walla.
