If I move my key light; Can I avoid the reflection of my mono-light/umbrella???

The Key light was set up next to the camera (about 2-3 feet away).

PS - I know the shot is under-exposed a bit... I am just using it as an example...

I'd say you need to move the light to give more shadow to give this depth. It looks a little flat. As regards the reflections I'd clone them out.

Yes, if you move your lights to the other side of the camera (assuming your head remains turned this way) and further away (greater angle, not greater distance). Look up "broad lighting" (as opposed to "short lighting"). The light from your source will glance off the lenses and continue beyond the other side of the camera rather than reflecting off the glasses into the camera.

Another tip is to raise the ear pieces slightly off your ears. Also look up the Family of Angles. The book Light: Science & Magic is a good resource.

Another good point, one which I didn't think of since I don't wear glasses. This sends the reflected light down, which works just as well as sending it to the side of the camera. And if you can do it so that the glasses don't look unnaturally tilted on the face, it opens up your lighting options rather than restricting you to broad lighting.

Read in an article by American author....there is no photograph sans shadows....his point is right not to have flat lighting....

Best tip for shooting folks with glasses is have them left the ear pieces just a hair, tipping the glasses a hair foward. No more glare.
