Sell stock lens and buy Wide Angle?

so i cant decide right now. sell my 28-135mm f/3.5 IS USM from canon and buy a wide angle 35mm f/2.0 autofocus lens
im mainly shooting portraits. fashion ect.

For portraits stick with what you got, wide angle is not a portrait lens, get a 50mm f1.8 or an 85mm f1.4 or 70-200mm f2.8 for portraits

You do know that the 28-135mm is capable of more 'wide angle' than the 35mm lens, don't you?

i say keep what you got and get a wide angle. i have a 17mm.

28-135mm f/3.5 IS USM is known to be a good lens... its silly to sell it

also

50mm f1.8 is under $100... there isn't a cheaper lens out there for portraits.

Agree with all this. Portraits are the last thing I shoot with my wide angle
