Lovely shots. I really like #2 (infectious smile) & #8. My thought is she would be extremely happy with this set.
I've never really thought about it before, but I would like to see or have seen her reaction when you presented these to her.
She was really happy. :sillysmi:
love them -
love John's tips - they are always quite helpful to ALL of us
can you tell me what lighting you used for the blue dress shots
Sure, it was actually really simple, haha.
It was one light, off to the right, with a soft box on it. The catch, however, is that I threw a warming gel on the flash inside the soft box, and I changed my WB in camera to... something that would cool down the background... tungsten I think? So all that blueish light in the background is just actually natural sunlight coming through the trees, but it's been cooled by the white balance I set.
1,2,3 & 9 are all great because they hide the fact that is is a bigger gal. I think the side arm on shot make her arms seem bigger than they are.
Thanks for your feedback.
I really like #6. The woman has a great smile!
Thanks!
What color are her eyes? They look blue in the blue dress ones ans brown in the others

and I second the lighting question?
Hazel
Great work, did you shoot them for free?

I see what you did there....... :lmao:
But ACTUALLY...
Yes and no.
She was one of my senior models, so her session was "complimentary", but she was required to pay a non-refundable deposit to hold the session, which would then be applied towards product purchases after the fact. The credit she got in return for her deposit, is only enough to cover 2 gift prints (8x12 or under), so it pretty much guarantees that people will buy stuff.
And they did, haha.
The dropped $1,500 on products after her session.
And THEN... they booked a second, separate session for head shots for college auditions.
