Shadows portrait

I think this is one of my best portrait photos. Tell me what I could fix
What i did for post process is brighten up the eyes, increased the shadows and color..

I'm not so good at post-processing, but I can offer my suggestions for the next time you shoot this.

Don't crop his arm.
Light the face more than the shirt.
Make the light a little more even across his face.
Watch the distracting background elements.

This was shot in his basement. His house has no white walls. It would of been perfect to bounce light off of.
 
Move him a little further away from the wall.
Move out the furniture in the back.
 
As mentioned already, his arm being chopped off isnt very appealing and also his eyes look overly brightened on my screen.

Crop is too tight on both sides don't cut arm off
The edgy look of shadows is what sets this apart
Remember that in portrait photography the eyes are what draw the viewer in so I would have added a bit more light into the right eye
The background needs to be more grungy and you'd have something
That said keep shooting your on the right track
