When I was in Singapore, like 5 or 6 years back, those farmers in Indonesia were burning their fields causing huge forest fires. The smoke blew all over south east asia and Singapore was covered with haze. So some days we can't have physical activities outdoor and kept the windows shut for months.

The the next year, stupid farmers burnt their fields again.....

i remember when it originally blew in 1980. I was 3 yrs old, playing with the neighbor kids outside on my bigwheel. my grandparents mom and aunt were all in lawn chairs outside watching it go up. pretty spectacular rembering it to this day. Even when i was 3 i knew that it was a big event. This one doesn't have me worried except for i am flying out of Porltand tomorrow to New Orleans, i hop it decides to blow today, or after i leave tomorrow. I don't want any flight delays
