Shockproof Backpack?

Is there any kind of shockproof backpack? So that I could carry a camera and a lens (maybe 2) out into less forgiving conditions without worrying about damaging the camera. I would prefer a backpack with 2 straps over a carrying case that only has 1 strap, just for comfort purposes.

I also found a regular laptop backpack with a sweater at the bottom/front provided enough padding.

Unless you get a hard-shell, foam-lined, plastic or aluminum box then there is no such thing as "Shock Proof" only "Somewhat Shock Resistant". Drop any fabric backpack with a lens in it on the pointy end of a rock, regardless of the amount of padding, and you've probably got a broken lens.

What do you mean by shockproof ?

You could just add bubble wrap inside.
but if you plan on dropping it down a rock face, I don't think it would help too much

Shockproof Backpack?

None are shockproof, and I know of no affordable shockproof container to move camera gear around in.

Considering about your words of "rock" I don't believe any bag will totaly avoid that condition. Even there is, the weight of it will be very heavy. An insert bag with padded cotton will be enough for most of conditions. Of course, any backpacks with padded insert one will be the same. With the padded, I can take my outdoor backpack with me. This is my current one

Check out the pelican s130 backpack. The big guys sell them and they have a separate laptop case and it is hardcore and can fit a lot in it. I think that would be as shockproof as you could get.

+1 for Lowepro

my only complaint with the above is that it's not easy to just get the camera out of without having to open the entire bag up. I've seen others that have easier access to the camera section.
