Any tips? I am going to be shooting in B&W, but I wanted to know if any filters would be of any use, I will probably pick up a polarizing filter, but I might take it off for a few shots.
Any ideas?

Polarizer sounds good. Your gonna be dealing with reflected light so that will really help cut down on the glare and that burnt out look that a lot of snow shots have.

Overexpose by 1.5 to 2 stops or your snow will be a featureless mass of white.

If you meter off the snow (white), the recommended exposure would make the snow gray. Light meters give the exposure needed to get middle gray. You over expose by a stop or two to brighten the tones you are metering.

Grrrrraaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy! Not white. Hehe... I really need to quit watching TV when I reply to posts. :(

and get hight iso... then it will catch all the falling snow really well :) (800+)
