Shooting Jewelry

Anybody have any tips for shooting jewelry pictures? One of my many hobbies is making chainmail jewelry and can never seem to get a halfway decent picture of it.

You should look into a small light tent, they are not expensive or you could build one yourself, they work great on jewlery
