Should be getting this tomorrow!!

this here Wide angle/Macro adapters should be here tomorrow morning. very exciting this is my first purchase for my camera and it seemed like a good one. the wide angle magnifies .45x the example they give on the site is it turns an 18 - 55mm into ~8 - 25mm. and on my crop sensor that makes it ~13 - 40mm.

i know this picture looks terrible but i just grabbed it quickly from the website and shrunk it down to show you what it looked like if you didn't want to click the link.

You can see how only the center stays reasonably sharp. I'd send it back personally.

i know it distorts/degrades so that is not that huge of a problem for me. i mainly just got this for the "lomo" feel. i'm sure that isn't accepted around here as this forum is geared more towards serious photography, but why not have some things that are intended for fun.

also i just slapped them on the camera might throw some shots up later.

I have to agree with them...not really worth the loss in image quality and the rather painful distortion. To me it seems like the TV channels that feign HD by stretching the edges.

Oh well after the first couple of snap shots I took. I love it distortion and all. The edges look like someone threw up but the center is pretty sharp

Well, I can accept that I guess. I really want a lensbaby (have for months now) and hell, the cheaper ones use plastic optics.

Lol, the average lomo photographer is a lot more " serious" about the art then the average dslr shooter.

I think this filter creates an interesting image, they're cheap--why not?
