Funny...I thought the title was Sunlit Stripper. I would probably take the tack mentioned above if you absolutely must work in the dog poop detail...

There is not too many absolutes with me. I had forgotton all about the dog poop. But when I found the pix it all came back to me. I didn't know if it was an intersting tidbit to add or if it would ruin the flavor of the pix.

This seems like just another way to build clicks on your site.
Why not post the picture here?

I couldn't care less about clicks. Just how things are in our world, so I work with what IS doable.

Flickr banned me after 9 days and I lost 190 pix there. Photobucket removes my pix after a few a day or two. So I use Tumblr and Artslant.

Just wondering: how have you fared with submissions to museums so far?

I know there has been some heated debate over this, and your work, and I am really not trying to provoke anything like that. I am asking out of curiosity. That is all.

It just reminds me of how authors used to send their manuscripts directly to the publisher. Nowadays, there are agents for this very reason, but some people still prefer to submit directly to publishing houses.

There are art dealers who sort of act in the same role. But it seems to me that well known collectors are a photographer's best bet. They seem to spark the interest of others.

I don't see submitting directly as being a bad idea, mainly because the art world is a small one. A curator may not think the work a good fit for their collection, but they may know someone else--another curator or a collector, who would love the image or have an interest in the subject. And as long as the portfolio is presented in a professional and courteous manner, I don't really see any harm that could be done in it.
