Show me a photo everyone hates...

Okay, Let's have some fun... Post your favorite under-appreciated photo here, and explain why you like it, and moreover, why you think many people don't... Your photo need not be technically correct, it just has to be important to you...

Here is mine.

I like it because its minimalist, simple, and serene. I find most people don't care for minimalism, especially my wife I have really become a huge fan of it... Now, show me one of your favorite photographs that most people don't care for and explain why you like it...

I like how this turned out I was not really trying to do any thing wonderful or even good I just seen the beer bottle and for some reason it was yelling at me close up so I grabbed my cam and tried a few close up snaps there was no setting up done no preparation done to me I like it because I am not a photographer at all and have only been using SLR for a couple of weeks with no lessons other then a very basic DVD course I got to me it shows the condensation of the water drops and the colour of the label to me its clear and readable oh and I did not set up the cam on any specific settings. Others don't like it they say its out of focus and the bottle was not turned around straight but that is also part of the reason I do like it to me its saying this beer is cold and inviting me to have some more. I have 2 other snaps of this of the full label but the water on this one to me is quiet intrusting

I really like this shot. It has a beautiful sunset, a random tree, the fence, and my horse. I'm sure it won't be liked because the sun is too bright (looks more like a bright blob than the sun); the horse is underexposed (again...the sunlight); the trees are too distracting...whatever. I thought it was an interesting angle (and I was thrilled that my broken-open large hay bale didn't swallow my tripod or me!)

Photos that don't have people in them, or that aren't made at people scale are not memorable according scientists at MIT.

What makes an image memorable?

I'm not sure if anyone hates it, but it recieved no comments on either forum I posted it. I liked it becasue because it had three people, caught in movement. One running, one walking away, and one walking towards but not looking. I liked how all three people were at at almost equal distances apart(besides the guy on the far left.

Also the vikings weren't doing very well at the time. Dude is looking away, vikings guy is walking away and the girl's shirt stated "LOL" running at me. I was going to call this photo.....

Hmm , no wonder the beer was yelling at you, looks like a face on the left hand side of bottle. So according to M.I.T. we will remember this image.

That face on the bottle looks creepy as shyt. OP, look at the P in Perkins and look up the bottle slowly, you'll see it.

In your opening sentence of your post you mentioned the bottle was "yelling at you." and I noticed the freaky face.
KmH was referring to an article that came out recently on pictures that are most memorable and why written by M.I.T. Seems the images we remember most are the images with people in them.

So I went into flickr - dredged up all my 1 view shots on my stats thing and then went through page by page to find the least liked one that I really liked - about tow pages in this hit:

And really surprised me that people didn't like it (well flickr people at least). As for me I really like this shot - lovely black background - great details on eyes and on the wing as well. Ok composition isn't the best, but still its not that bad
