Liked the available attitude on the face of the kid in the first image; the girls in the second image have a matured look in spite of their age; in the second image the foreground is very much affecting the quality of the image

I like them too. Try cropping a bit from the bottom of the 2nd one to draw more attention to the girls.

yes, in the second image, other than trimming the part no alteration is easy; when we look through the view finder very close disturbances may not appear that conspicuous
