Sigma 10-20

the 10-20 f/4 will not work full range
but the sigma 12-24 will work with its full range
 
agreed - the lens will work for some of its range, but once you get to the shorter focal lengths it will start to show black boards to the images.
 
how about Tokina's 11-16? :p
 
It's a "G" lens which means no aperture ring, so it will only work on newer film slrs that support "G" lenses like the F100 and F5.

THEN there's the fact it isn't a full frame lens, on a full frame camera your photos will look like this:
