Sigma 28 - 300mm DG Macro - With Scratched Lens

Just received the Sigma lens I wrote about earlier in the week. The scratch was a bit smaller and lighter than it appeared in the photos. That said, the scratch was there, but on the outer edge on the bottom of the front element. Tried a few of the remedies mentioned, but to no avail. My best results came from the black Magic Marker. Small thin line covered it right up. The position of the scratch really didn't have an effect on the photos anyway. Overall the lens is in excellent condition, everything is working and the photos taken with my Canon 50D looked surprisingly good. I'll probably only be using this lens on my Canon Elan film camera, but at least I know it works. I appreciate everyone's responses from my earlier posting. All my best, stay safe and well.
