Sign and Date

When you sign (type) and date your photos do you use the current year or the year taken

I haven't been doing the prints, which I probably should. I've been doing the mattes with signature, and then year taken - year printed.

I do the year taken , sign, and put a set and series number.

I dry mount my prints to archival rag board with a one inch border and sign the board. I then window matt the print. That way I can easly replace the matt and store the work.

I haven't done much in the way of matting and framing, so not much signing and dating, until recently. I'm really only doing it now since they'll be on display soon. I sign on the matte not the print.

I sign with my name and the copyright symbol and the year that the photo was taken. I sign the print in an area where it won't be seen when framed.

When I framed & matte a print I will sign the matte with year taken if know

Digitally I am about 50/50 with putting my name & date on the photos I post
