Pulled over on the side of the highway to take this one which prompts a question: In these more remote, isolated places do you just go on the property to take a picture or try and see permission?

I saw an old weather torn, broken down house that was abandoned on a farm that had an attractive angle I noticed from the road, but I'd have to really do some trespassing in order to take it--so I passed on the photo. There was no one around, but there was a "no trespassing" sign. Has anyone ran into trouble and this dilemma? What did you do (after comments on the below pic  ).

Most times if you find out who owns the property and just explain to them what you are doing and promise them a picture they will let you on the property. Also you sure meet a lot of interesting people this way too.
