I was wondering how ya guys think I'm coming along.

1)

This little girl was a mover, as any toddler is. Ended up using three lights.

2)

Just used one light here.

3)

Here is one I did for "Christmas" and ended up using 2 lights for this shoot.

I honestly can't remember your last images, but I will say that these don't seem too bad all. A couple of thoughts: In #1, get down to her eye-level and perhaps off-set her a little from the centre of the image. In #2, the it almost seems to me as though the child is an afterthought. Her clothing is very similar in colour/tone to the straw, and I find my eye drawn to the tractor and blanket because of how much more colourful they are. A cute shot; again, rather too centred for my taste, and when you use this pose, watch the legs/feet. In this case, her feet are some disembodied white things in the background.

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

Thank you for the pointers! I'll keep that all in mind that off centre a little more and see how they look, as I always thought ya wanted it off a little bit. I guess more is needed. =)

I agree with #2 now that you mentioned it and that's what the parents wanted when they let me take pictures of their newborn, but I thought it still turned out fantastic light, tho.
