Since there is a nudity forum -

Are you saying that photography can't be for the whole family to partake in ? ;)

You just put a very unnatural image into my head....why....WHY....

It's really not about the money. It's verifying that yes I'm an adult(though most don't act like one), not some high schooler looking for a cheap thrill. Kudos to the mods!

Well, I'm pretty sure any high-schooler who doesn't already have a debit/credit card can get one at 7-Eleven. Reliable age verification is nearly impossible. But of all the available online cheap thrills, of which there are gazillions, artistic nudes in a serious photo forum such as this surely rank way, way, way, WAY down on the list.

This is a family site? I thought it was advertised as a photography forum.

Of course it can.

I was merely implying that I've never seen this site advertised as a "family' site. I always wonder why it's so PG-13.

True, hopefully they will are going to look elsewhere for their cheap thrills, no sense on paying when you can it find it fir free.

I assume it is becaus equite rightly youngsters look here too, of all ages including ten/12 yras etc and such photographs to me are not needed on a family site

Nudity is one thing, but I wonder why someone would want to post photographs showing a dead woman, unless they are odd

Pretty sad, because of some prude individuals, you have to pay to see some artistic nudes or graphic art.

If you would like to see the graphic work in question, I'd be happy to link my flickr and you could always fish out the set. (Hint: It's the first one ;) )

Funny how the number of supporting members has suddenly gone through the roof! TPF is going on a shopping spree!
Yeah, they're all just hoping for a "topless women of TPF" thread
haha..

I frequently shoot myself topless/nude and I'd share my better photos, but I can't imagine paying for access to a sub-forum. Oh, I know the money supports the site, and it weeds out the non-participatory creepers (which doesn't really concern me, fwiw), but it just seems weird having to pay for special access. And I'm too poor right now, anyway. lol

Fake blood sounds cool, though. I'm all for that.
Well, I won't be paying just for that either.

Really, it would probably make more for the forum if it were open. NSFW threads generate a TON of traffic from Google (just look at the view counts and the search tags for any thread in that section). All of that traffic will (has been, for the last 2 years) be going somewhere else since those threads won't be showing up in search results.

LOL, I just saw this thread moments after I registered!
My view was to show my support to a site that has already given me so much. Time for me to give back a bit. $15 for 6 months isnt that much to show how much you appreciate the place.
Anyways, everyone has their reasons for becoming a supporter or not.

I support the NSFW forum too! (I may not submit, but I'll "learn" from it.)

I stopped posting a lot of my pix to all the photo forums. Waste of time, they delete much of mine. Went to Tumblr but can't figure it out...I'm too old school.

One mod that deleted my stuff at MU43 sent me over to Photo.net. Said they would take my posts. Posted there, all deleted within a few hours. More wasted time.

Wish someone would make a good forum like Deviant Art. BUT...easy to post to, easy on the censorship etc. DA is a pain to post to if you like trad forums.

Nothing out there I can find. If you got some good forum suggestions, PLEEZE let me know! Looking for a good home.

I got out of photography 40 years ago due to censorship...nothing seems to have changed.
