From a recent in home family shoot..

Alien Bee B1600's, 48" octobox nestled in the Christmas tree camera left high, 2' x 3' softbox straddling the TV camera right

I freaked out when I got home and first started viewing the images. Looked like major dust spots on my sensor and then I remembered I asked them to remove the art work on the back wall (slaps forehead)...

Very nice Don! My only [very minor] nits are (1) I think given the way the left-hand lady's hair is, your key light would have been better placed on the opposite side, and (2) a bit of coloured gel and a background light might have given it a bit more interest.

Good suggestions to keep in mind, I admit to being reluctant to change the light modifiers positions because of the cramped quarters.

Six people with ten different combinations is no excuse to miss details, sigh...

The shoot was originally planned for available light but the weather didn't cooperate.

Perhaps my mind never fully made the transition into portable studio mode and I left two lights at home ?
