I'm starting to like square-cropped black and white pictures more than anything I see in color.

The image itself is quite nice, but the processing is.. well.. less than exciting. This appears very muddy due to a preponderance of mid-tones and no pure white. I think a slight curves tweak and some adjustment of the contrast sliders would benefit it greatly.

Needs more local contrast. Otherwise, a nice image.

I know what you mean about square-formatted B&W images: they ARE nice!
