Sitcoms without laugh tracks

I wish more shows were without. There's been a few that I tried watching lately, all failed, but I couldn't watch them DUE to the laugh track.

Whitney was one.

But The Big Bang Theory is not a "laugh track" show...it is and always has been filmed in front of a live audience...which is where the laughs come from...the people in-studio...see the vanity card Chuck Lorre did, addressing this same idiotic allegation.

Seems like the YouTube guy who makes a hobby out of removing the laughter in TV comedies might have gone off of his meds.

The point wasn't where the laughter came from it was that without it the show seems idiotic.

...thats why i really dislike morning radio "duo" shows.Just always sounds like faked/forced laughter between the pair,and it doesn't seem to matter which pair. IMUS FTW!!!

I can't remember the last time I watched anything with a laugh track.

If they have to tell you when something is funny, maybe it wasn't really funny.

If you've ever been to see a comedy movie in a theatre, with a very small audience, like one to four other people, you'll find that...they movie will not seem "All that funny." A packed house, with other people around laughing, makes the same film seem much,much funnier. I used to be a projectionist is a small theater. On shows that had a handful of people, there was very little laughter; SAME film, at a packed show, and the auditorium would echo with laughter, guffaws, and hoots. The same basic principle applies to live-audience shows like The Big Bang Theory...the studio audience is a collective, a group, many different people. Sitting at home and watching a comedy TV series with an audience of one is a good way to make the show un-funny. It's akin to getting drunk at home alone, as opposed to getting drunk at a party or nightclub. Same blood alcohol level, same drinks...one is kind of mehhhh, the other can be a rollicking great time. If you don't "get" how a collective makes things seem funnier, try telling YOURSELF some jokes...you know, sit there, alone, and deliver your funniest stories...see how much you crack yourself up! Some people apparently don't really think too much about things before posting nonsense.
