This is a small pond next to the entrance to Stanley Park, basically a toilet for the ducks and geese.

It does look slimey, all right ... and you say it is the duck poop that makes the algae grow in such abundance? It is a bit "ewww", but the green is enormous!

Yes, ducks poop and Canada Geese too. It was very windy that day so the slime was pushed all the way to one side creating a floating mat you see in 2.
2 is also my favorite in this series.
