Small Subaru meet! C&C Please :)

No offense meant Nathan but I liked the photos of the pretty girl in your other post much more. Your image compositions were much better. But then again I've never been very impressed with most of the snapshots of cars that show up here. Photographing large shinny objects well is very difficult, and unless done very well it's just not very impressive.

^ None taken :) I really like shooting cars, but now people are closing in on the #1 spot ;)

cars are super hard to get something that doesn't look like poorly parked cars in an empty parking lot.

get closer!

I personally think it's not bad.

However, #1 is a little soft and the sky is clipped. Try to get your highlights back in postprocess.

#2's background is really busy and get the attention away from the cars. I would try the same thing maybe with one of those snow mountain to get a less distracting background

#3 is my favorite, but I would get rid of the power lines.

Overall, not too bad in my noob's opinion;)

IMO:
#1: I'd get rid of the people.

#2: Agreed that the background is too busy.

#3: My fav. Power lines and that clump of snow in the foreground could be erased though.

Pretty good for the enviroment.

3 is best.

I like you PP techniques as well.

i like the first photo....there is nothing better than a picture telling the story of a couple guys talking about any type of vehicles...i might try something similar to this my bf is really into rangers along with a ton of his friends always moding their trucks....the background in the second picture pulls the attention away from the subarus....the third is ok but like others said the powerlines are distracting. Keep up the good work!

Thank you everyone! This def wasn't the best location, but I tried to make the best of it :)

I don't really care for the shots, but I do like the cars...I have an 06 STi. Love it.

screw everyone else, i really like these.
i like the people in the first one, they tell a story. theres a good sense of people coming together with a shared interest.
overall i like the minimalist kind of aspect to them, and the washed out kind of pp adds to it. theyre nice and simple photographs, well done.

Looking very respectable Nate! I like the simplicity of #3. ;)

As I said on your Flickr...don't be afraid to zoom in. Learning how much negative space to have in a picture is tricky, but it will come with time. :)

Keep it up - you have a nice eye for comp!
