To the OP: I think "snarky" is just a word that bored and hormonal internet women came up with to replace and place extreme emphasis on the word "sarcasm". "Snarky" replies can also be antagonistic in nature.

I never even heard of the word before I joined a wedding and a married life forum.

And if you'll take notice, I'm willing to bet that 90% of the people using that word on this forum are women... or men who got the term from a woman.

I'm a masochist. What can I say?

I had to leave for a while because it just got too damn catty (and I got bored of the same questions/stories over and over again) and I had a couple internet stalkers that kept following me around to different social networking sites and my blog even after I made my quiet exit. :roll:

Then after about 8 months or so I got bored and started going back, but not posting *as* often... and then about 2 months after that it got shut down and they had to move it and I post semi-regularly at the new place now because they have control of who is there and I think most of the crazy b*tches weren't allowed admittance.

There are still a handful of people there that clearly don't like me, but I can handle them.

There was an app on FB call "Wedding Book" and it had a forum section. It was just a bunch of us girls squabbling about our wedding plans. Then they built a sister forum to "graduate" to after you got married called "The Nest" and another called "Mommyhood".

Then The Knot bought all of them and the admin was stupid.

The Knot, The Nest, and The Bump are full of MUCH nastier women than that was ever on our FB versions of the forum, however.

I was never part of Mommyhood, because I have zero interest in babies or ever having them, but The Nest was pretty much a bunch of hormonal women who were trying to get pregnant, bitching about their in laws, wondering if their husband has been cheating on them because he's texting some chick for work, or talking about scrap-booking.

Not that exciting, really.

Sometimes we think the average preying mantis male gets a rather hard lot in life. Typical male gets about one go with a gal before she rips his head clean off and eats him whole (normally not even being polite enough to wait for him to finish before she starts).

However upon reflection we can see that ending your life at the most pleasurable point and way before all the hormones and crazyness of adult female life kick in for the other half - the preying mantis male actually gets quite a good deal out of things!
