Snow and a very bright day

Hey....just took this pic from my deck....very sunny day. I know the picture itself is nothing, just interested in some C&C on the exposure and such....thanks.

The exposure actually looks pretty good. There might be a tiny bit of detail lost in the shadows, but the hilights -- the traditional trouble spot for snow photos -- don't look like they've been blown out at all.

But, the way to really check for exposure trouble is to look at a histogram. Toss this into photoshop, Gimp, or any graphics program which can show a histogram, and take a look. See if there are any lines in the histogram which hit the top of the histogram -- that means that some detail has been lost at that level. Look at all three colors (red, green, blue) in the histogram, not just the "value" histogram. Especially look at the rightmost and leftmost ends, where "clipping" (lost data) often occurs.
