Snowy Owl

took these Monday in North Central Missouri, I heard that this owl was in the area and got lucky, I was disappointed in the results, not with the subject, white object with a very overcast day any thoughts on what would have made it better, shot with a sony A350 300 mm lens 400iso shutter speed 1000

did you play around with the white balance at all? done any post editing to it?

suprisingly it doesn't look all that sharp
