So I have 300$ what should I get

I have 300$ extra and I was thinking getting either a bigger soft box for my kit (my current one is 2ft x 2ft) or a light meter. I need a bigger soft box because I dont always having to put my light so close to my subject. I also need a light meter so I can get my ratios right and to speed up prep time.

I'd say the meter is the most valuable of the two options.
Softboxes can be "engineered" or you can make due. A meter can't be faked and it will make things so amazingly simple and your exposures so much better just as quick as you can read the manual.

Well the last shoot I had took 2 hours and a good chunk of time was test shots. I also had some hot spots trouble with my soft box being too far away.
