totally forgiven. Don't be afraid to get to the point and say what is on your mind next time. Speaking the virtues of manual to someone that shoots mostly manual isn't very productive however. The place for that discussion would probably have been better suited for "photographic discussions".

And for the record, there is a place for auto. I don't often use it because the majority of the time (depending on what it is) I agree with you. It drastically reduces the ability of the camera.
