Soft Colorado

    With all the rain we've had the mountains are unusually hazy this summer. I liked the haze in this picture as it gave a little more depth to the picture. This is a semi rural area along the Front Range in Colorado.

    I deliberately left the focus softer as it seemed to work better.

    What a beautiful scene. I agree with your decision to keep it soft - I don't a thing has been sacrificed here. The richness and lushness of the countryside make up for any lack of sharp detail, so it comes across very balanced to me.

    In the meantime, I'm ready to saddle up my horse and go cantering right through there. Or strap on the hiking boots and hit the trail. Or...something. This image really draws you in.
