I shot the Mid-Continent Conference Softball Championship this weekend. Here are a couple of my better shots. Any critique/comments are welcome. p.s. this was my first event with my new Canon 1d Mk II and 70-200 f2.8
Nice shots!! I am trying to find a game to shoot for some more practice, did you have a pass to shoot on the field or were you in the stands/outside the fence?
I was inside the fence for this one because I was actually shooting for the people hosting the tournament. I was right next to 3rd for the first one. And right in front of the third base side dugout for the other two (I think). I also shot a lot from the first base side. I recommend the third base side, because it yields more shots with faces in it. People aren't really running away from you. also, I would say that softball/baseball is defintely a sport you'll need permission for to get on the field, b/c space is more restricted. However, simply having a professional looking camera can do a lot.
