# 1 is awesome - good lighting too compared to the rest. I also love the old WWII aircraft.

There's a B17 & other wwii aircraft that flies around once in a while around here, I'm always amazed seeing them in the sky.

I agree. Was a pretty dreary day so I was glad to get a hangar shot.

I got to fly on that B-17 yesterday, it was awesome! Unfortunately I didn't have the best lens for it but I did get a couple good pictures from inside.

I don't get too many chances to see WWII aircraft where I live, unless I'm at an airshow, so I was happy this was down.

All of them seem underexposed to me. Raise exposure and shadows if possible.

I agree the outdoor ones look underexposed. Perhaps you were exposing for the sky?

Unless you do some post processing magic (certainly possible), you may want to consider using a polarizer filter when shooting against the sky. It may allow you to dial down the sky a bit while keeping the aircraft exposure closer to ideal. The penalty you pay is approximately ~1.5 stops light so it works best on a sunny day and right angles to the sun.

I'd recommend a circular polarizer to be safe, if your camera's autofocus uses a beam splitter a linear polarizer will not work.

I was just shooting in auto mode, so I didn't mess around with the exposure.

I do have a polarizer filter but I have yet to use it. I will go try it out today, though. I didn't know too much about them, so after reading that I do have a better idea. Thanks!
