made a trip to New Orleans yesterday for Comic Con and did a brief walk around the French Quarter

I think the 2nd and the last are the most interesting but in both of these the black point is too high, obscuring the detail and teh white areas just look dull.

How far did you slide the black point? I am not sure it is working in #1 because it loses the detail in the dress, but I do like #2
 
With the color original, I would adjust the tones and brightness before converting and do it area by area not globally.
 
These are all really nice. I especially like the headshots. They have a lot of character. #4 is my favorite.
 
Wow some really good looking shots! I agree with Jenko, the headshots are great! Although I prefer #3 myself :)
