What's new

Some chicks marry chicks.

So basically you're unable to respect someone because of their sexual orientation?

Makes total sense.
Why should anybody respect someone because of their sexual orientation?

To me, respect has to be earned and (for me anyway) sexual orientation isn't a factor in that. I don't really care who you like to sleep with - you do your thing and I'll do mine.

I don't know why everybody today thinks that everybody else owes them something (respect, or whatever else it might be).

I never said that they should be REQUIRED to respect them; I inquired as to why they were unable to respect someone based upon their sexual orientation.

I would appreciate it if you didn't put words in my mouth, plz/thx.

Honestly I think you miss understood the person you directed your comment too as well.

::really large annoying font::

I'M TRYING TO UNDERSTAND WHY THE VIDEO IS EVEN NEEDED TO CRITIQUE THE PHOTO. JUST POST THE PHOTO AND STATE THAT YOUR INSPIRATION WAS PRO-GAY MARRIAGE, OR WHATEVER AND LET THE PEOPLE FOCUS ON THE PHOTO INSTEAD OF THROWING IN A CONTROVERSIAL VIDEO, THAT BY NATURE, IS GOING TO DISTRACT PEOPLE FROM YOUR PHOTO NO MATTER HOW BIG YOU TYPE OR WHAT COLOR YOU DO IT IN.

VIDEO DELETION = PHOTO FOCUS

:biggrin:
I'm not going to quit yelling because that means I lose the argument and I'm not going to lose the argument because Virgil Powers is always right!!!

Too many quotes...lol.

The last part of my post you quoted wasn't really directed at anyone in particular - just a general comment on today's society... Nobody wants to work for anything anymore...

And I agree with Darkhunter - I think the person you were replying to (Olympus E300) was basically trying to make the same point I was.

I think Olympus E300 was trying to say that sexual orientation wasn't any kind of qualifier for respect (and I agree), and you misinterpreted that to mean that he disrespected (as opposed to not having respect for, or being indifferent towards) gays.

Not having respect for someone is not the same as disrespecting someone...

Disrespect = (-)
Indifferent = Neutral
Respect = (+)

He even said he was indifferent - for whatever reason you took that to mean 'disrespect'.

For me - everyone starts out in the middle, I have no opinion either way. What you do from there determines whether I respect you or not.

Cool picture, although a bit "Chucky-esque". Watched way too many "toys attack" movies when I was little I guess :lol:

As for the video and all...I'm a straight man with a strong faith, but part of that faith tells me to love those around me. While I'm not fond of certain factions of the gay community "shoving it in our faces", it pisses me off to *no* extent when the church tries doing the same thing. Straight or gay doesn't decide how the people act, but I think Faith should. It's downright rude and horrible when people that claim to be of the church throw around hate speech and ignorance. It puts the entire faith into a bad light.

As for the video...I severely disrespect groups and people that find it acceptable for children to swear like that. I have nothing against the gay community or those that care about Proposition 8 (I'm completely for equal rights for everyone) and using profanity in an ad is one thing...but there's *no* reason those children should be using it. For one thing they're too young to even know what they feel (so using them in an ad to endorse a standpoint is already ridiculous) but two the point could have gotten across with the exact same magnitude had they not been using that language.

I could care less what orientation, race, gender, religion a person is, you have every bit of my respect to let you be who you want..... until you try to shove it in my face.

Lesbians can shove it in my face all day.

Focus on the photo.

The photo isn't any good. The subjects don't all fit in the frame, the hair on the left is cropped out.... and you can actually see the outline of the lamp in the background.

I think you've got something started, but it just isn't coming together for me.

Photo:

Out of focus, not framed correctly, underexposed foreground, and Barbie needs a comb.

Put the video back up, it was far more interesting than the image.

Back to the C+C...loveDSLR: Ease up on that healing brush. The texture of their skin looks very artificial and plastic. The fact that you cloned out the nipples just creeps me out. Also, you went to the expense of hiring two models for a nude shoot and couldn't afford a hair stylist?

Can we leave the controversial garbage off of this forum? The pic, although offensive to me, is fine and I respect your right, but the video/propaganda needs to stop. Should I start posting daily Christian sermons on here? The " if you dont like my thread dont read it" excuse is getting old. This isnt the place to push your cause.

Also, The framing of the shot is bad I think. Not big on the lighting either.

I see, you want the rest of the world to censor themselves to appease your personal needs. :lmao:

Sorry, but the Internet is the VERY LAST place you should hide if you are afraid of getting offended.

BTW... fat kids showing their fat rolls offends me, please remove your avatar.

If you could read, I said the pic was fine, whether I am offended or not. It has merit in terms of photography. The video is what I am taking issue with. I agree the internet isnt very censored, but there is a reason why this site is moderated (also known as censored). Both the video and the thread title were used to stir up controversy. I am not hate filled or a bigot, or thin skinned. I am just saying that some people should reconsider some stuff before posting. If the LGBT community ( or christian community, muslim community, polygamists, jungle pigmeys etc etc etc) wants respect, they should respect this photography forum. This isnt the place for politics. They are bad for business, and at the end of the day, this forum is a business. So before you make a silly argument, atleat comprehend what I said cause its clear it went way over your head.

Thats all I am going to say about it. I dont want to start a big moral debate or argument.
