Using my macro lens as I would any other lens. This Sigma 105 is very sharp from what I can see.

I was thinking you could lighten the red/magenta and darken green/blue to bring out the contrast, and then maybe increase overall contrast in Curves, but sometimes these things don't work out the way you expect. I'm curious to see what you did.

Was the black and white version not striking enough? You may just need to bump the contrast to make it more of what we are all thinking.

Striking yes. I just like what I like. It works but flowers in B & W have to be exceptional in camera first, IMO of course.

Yeah, works for me. Actually, I'm not sure you couldn't push it a little further. Good call on the corners.

Thanks Ken. I could probably dodge some more mid and light grays in there. I think it has enough value mixture but what do I know. I am not real good in software but stumbling my way through it. Gimp's dodge and burn has a steep learning curve for me, of course I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Thanks Astro. Shooting soccer games again. Ready too. D3300/150-600 and D70s/70-200 2.8. double gunning it. Got to read up on how to use the D70s. So far can't really see a difference (until 200X peeping) in pic quality other than low light.
