Some more frost and a bit of industry

'Ello again -

Here's a couple more from this morning:

The Cabot Tower, built to commemorate John Cabot's 1497 transatlantic voyage from Bristol to Canada in his little ship the Matthew. You get a pretty awesome view of Bristol from the top, but I didn't have time to climb it this morning!

...and a couple from the walk home - I've added a touch of warmth to try to age them a bit and capture the atmosphere from the days when the docks were working. Has it worked?

As much as I enjoy these frosty images I have to quit looking: they're making me cold.

I'd say whatever you did to the last 2 images worked nicely - bless you for keeping it subtle! :thumbup: Lovely images.

Wow. More frozen-leaves-on-the-lawn pics. Must be a new trend on TPF, like other trends we've had, such as the crow-trend, the water-drop-disease and so on . Very nice. After my short trip into the garden to take MY frozen-leaves-on-lawn pics, I am sitting here wrapped up in a blanket... terri ... that might be the thing to do BEFORE you open TPF on your computer these days .

The "bit of industry" made look old and fading is GREAT.
The effect works miracles and I really like the composition of the harbour cranes in the last! Wow!

I had that exact same shot (last one) a few weeks ago, doesn't work nearly as well when there's no fog.

btw bit nippy at the moment round these parts aint it

Thanks all! Occurs to me all of a sudden that I should apologise for the non-'Landscape & Nature' subjects of some of these! I'll be more careful where I post in future
